Palm Haven Illumination – Full Written Installation Manual Thank You for Your Purchase Thank you for choosing Palm Haven Illumination. Your lighting system is designed for durable outdoor use and clean architectural accent lighting. Please read all instructions before beginning installation. Tools Needed Drill 1/2" metal drill bit or step bit Phillips screwdriver Fish tape or pull wire tool Electrical tape Measuring tape Pencil or marker Before You Begin Turn off power before installation. Verify all parts are included. Plan light spacing before drilling. Confirm power supply location near a GFCI outlet. Inspect all posts and mounting surfaces. Page 1 — Post Preparation & Wire Routing Step 1: Plan Your Layout Determine where each light will be installed. Space posts evenly for a balanced appearance. Ensure wiring can reach between posts and to the power supply. Step 2: Drill Entry Hole (Front Side) On the front face of the post: Measure approximately 5 feet from the bottom (or eye level) Mark center of post Drill one 1/2" hole Deburr edges Install rubber grommet This is where the light wire enters the post. Step 3: Drill Exit Hole (Rear Side) On the rear face of the post: Measure approximately 3 inches from bottom Mark center Drill one 1/2" hole Deburr edges Install rubber grommet This is where the wire exits the post. Important: The holes must be on opposite sides of the post. Do not drill both holes on the same side. Step 4: Route Wire Through Post Feed the wire into the front hole. Use fish tape if needed. The wire should: Enter front hole Travel down inside post Exit rear bottom hole Page 2 — Light Installation Method 1: Bracket Mount (Recommended) Step 1: Mark Bracket Locations Mark bracket positions on the post: 6 inches from top of light 6 inches from bottom of light Step 2: Pre-Drill Holes Pre-drill two 1/8" pilot holes at marked locations. Step 3: Install Brackets Secure brackets using included stainless screws. Do not overtighten. Step 4: Mount Light Slide light onto brackets and tighten set screw. Method 2: Adhesive Install (VHB) Use 3M 5952 VHB tape or equivalent. Step 1: Clean Surface Thoroughly clean mounting area and dry fully. Step 2: Apply Tape Apply tape to back of bracket. Step 3: Mount Brackets Press firmly for 20–30 seconds. Step 4: Cure Time Allow 24 hours before applying load. Step 5: Install Light Attach light after cure time. Alternating Light Direction (Optional) Each light has one male and one female connector. To alternate direction: Install first light normally Flip every other light during installation If one light has the male connector at top, the next should have the female connector at top. Important Do not force connectors Fully tighten waterproof connections Maintain straight spacing and alignment Page 3 — Power Supply Installation Step 1: Mount Power Supply Box Install enclosure: Minimum 12 inches above ground Within 2 feet of a GFCI outlet Use secure fasteners appropriate for wall material. Step 2: Install Controller Mount controller near power supply inside enclosure or protected dry location. Step 3: Make Electrical Connections Connect: Lights to controller Controller to power supply Power supply to GFCI outlet Verify all waterproof connectors are fully tightened. Step 4: Final Inspection Confirm: Enclosure sealed tightly No exposed wires Drip loop present on wiring All connectors secure Step 5: Power On & Test Turn on outlet power.
